To Do in 2011

What are our plans for 2011?

1.  Celebrate our 5 year anniversary in January
2.  A stay-cation in Galveston in April

So far - that's I'll I've got and I love it.  I love that our year isn't planned out and we aren't going into 2011 with a schedule in hand and plans and stress and travel arrangements and.......you get the point.  Last year, 2010, was so much fun but oh.so.busy.  We had 3 big vacations, my 30th birthday, Mark & Jennifer's wedding, Dustin & Kerri's wedding, and tons of celebrating to do.  Its like the year was spent preparing for the next big event and not enjoy each day, one at a time.

Here's to a stress free year!

No More Pop!

Tonight as the fireworks are going off all around us at home we thought it would be fun to take Deacon outside to see them.  Tons of our neighbors are setting them off so all you have to do is wait a second and the sky will light up.  Justin went to the fireworks stand and got Deacon some sparklers and we gook him out front to light one and see what else we could see.  Within seconds he was running inside and yelling "Run, run, I'm scared of Pop, I'm don't like Pop".  Poor baby has been hiding out inside all night and hearing the noises all around us and just repeating over and over "I don't like Pop, I don't like".  Poor thing.  Hopefully he will fall fast asleep and not have to hear it anymore.

Time for a trim :)

These bangs are always in his eyes.

Its been a great week!

For over a week now Justin and I have been off work and hanging out with Deacon.  We have had multiple family get togethers including 4 family Christmases, 2 birthday celebrations, 1 train ride and a dinner with friends.  We currently have a house guest and are expecting more family to come over today and more friends to come by tomorrow.  Yay!  Here are some quick shots of what has kept us moving the last few days.

After today we have New Years Eve to celebrate and then we get to clean up the house and turn it back into every day - non-holiday - livable condition and then back to work we go - goodbye 2010 - hello 2011.  I am really looking forward to 2011 and all the wonderful things it holds in store for us.  We will celebrate our 5 year anniversary in January, lots of babies will be born next year - nieces and nephews - some related - some honorary :)  Lots of celebrating to do and lots to look forward to!

The Polar Express

We took Deacon on the Polar Express again this year and I have to say that it was even more fun than last year due to his precious reaction.  He was so excited the whole way up there and as soon as we got there he couldn't be still as we waited to see the train.

Once on the train he and his cousins had a great time hearing the story of the Polar Express, seeing Santa and singing and dancing together as we ventured to the North Pole and back.  Here are some pictures of our trip:

Our car was loaded to the max with Cindy, Manny, Mimi, Deacon and Mia - Jus and I were in front

Deacon's 2nd Birthday Party

We celebrated Deacon's birthday a few weeks early this year with a costumed themed party at home.  Here is what it looked like at our house on Saturday:
