Deacon's Signs

The more signs Deacon learns the more it amazes me. I am trying to keep up with all the words he can sign and understand. I can sign to him without saying the word and he knows what I am telling him. I can sign "PLEASE SIT" or "EAT MORE CHEESE" or something like that and he knows exactly what he needs to do. It just blows my mind. Here are the signs that he has picked up in the last two months or so:

Now I really feel the pressure to increase my signing vocabulary so I can work on new signs with him. Next time you see us we may be holding an entire conversation without you not even realizing it. :)

That's one smart dog!

lately at night i get in bed at the same time justin puts deacon into the crib. since the crib is in our room i have to get in quietly so i don't let deacon see me, otherwise he may want to join me in our bed, which leads to a very poor nights sleep for all of us. usually remi jumps on the bed with me and after justin puts deacon to bed justin walks over and kisses me goodnight and scoops remi up and takes him out into the living room with him. however, the past few nights remi has been no where in sight when justin comes to kiss me goodnight, but within seconds of the bedroom door closing i have a cuddle bug right next to me, heating me up and stealing my covers. you see, remi has realized that we can't make any noise or keep the door open or the lights on or deacon will be disturbed, so he hides under the bed until the coast is clear, then he hops on the bed and gets comfortable with me until justin finds him hours later. smart dog. :)
