A new flavor for Deacon

Last week Deacon had his first taste of formula. Needless to say I don't think he will be making this his next favorite meal. He refused the bottle several times and has resorted to several night feedings with mommy. He is getting better about it but for now its a headache to deal with. I hate to make the switch but I have no choice these days. I want to get him use to it before I run out of milk all together*.

He is learning to mimic us and if we scream or cough he screams and coughs. He thinks he is so funny. He is also trying to crawl now. He can get up on his hands in the push up position but he can't quiet figure out how to get those little legs to propel him forward, however, he is great at going backwards. HA HA

*Despite a tremendous start to BFing, my supply has continued to decrease. I have tried water, Mother's Milk Tea, oatmeal, proteins and fat, Fenugreek and now I am taking Reglan that was prescribed to me by my OB. If this doesn't do the trick I will be retiring the pumps sooner that I had originally planned.

  1. We are in the same boat. Ava also hates formula and more often then not refuses it, but shes getting better about it. Have you tried More Milk Plus? Its a suppliment. it worked well for me and got me over a growth spurt hump. Whole Foods carrys it, I think. You did great BFing for as long as you have! You did it way longer then most people do. Good job! :)
